almost "the one"
By I. Jan
I have been using nokia phones for at least 12 years now. While I really liked this phone, I ended up returning it, which made me very sad, b/c i really wanted to keep it.
It has many great features, just read other reviews, I don't want to repeat and bore you.
Typing/input was too difficult/slow, it started to hurt my thumbs.
The video quality was not that great, and some of my videos played with few seconds of pause every few minutes.
My unit's call quality was poor.
Copy and paste while surfing the web, not possible.
Podcast search was poor, I had to know the rss url to get what I was looking for.
Some of the old nokia features vanished, like in my previous ones I could customize the profiles so it would vibrate from 9am to 5pm, then go back to ringing until midnight, switch back to vibrating until 6am. Not there anymore.
And of course the battery life...., very short. It should come with two power adapters so we can keep one at work and one at home.
It's a great phone but not worth $410. If the price drops again, I would love to have it.
ps. if you are in NYC or Chicago, you can get much better price at Nokia stores then at amazon.com, very strange!

N 95
By Ashley
because of my N95 bringing heavy drug handbook and medical dictionary book was eliminated because all of these information are now in my N95. I feel good because I know I look good using my phone.

A nice improvement
By Wayne
I work for a company that develops software for handsets, so when I got this phone, it was one of at least a dozen different models in my personal test suite. This is one of the few that I chose to use personally.
If you hold it side by side with the older N80, you'll find that although it looks a lot bigger, it's really close to the same size. But the layout has a much larger screen, better buttons, better resolution, and far more capability.
I won't go into the features, since you can read them in the product description, but I will tell you that the features work well. Many hand held devices with both Wi-fi and Bluetooth don't really work well if you try to use both concurrently. This phone holds up just fine. I tested it with software applications that allow concurrent inter device communications between this phone and 8-10 other devices that are all sharing a connection for multi-user games or multimedia content sharing, using wi-fi for some connections, and Bluetooth for other concurrent ones, and this phone held up well.
Mine had a defect that kept me from using the cable to connect it to my PC. Having a warranty is helpful for that sort of thing, so that's a plus for amazon.com. In all fairness, I haven't had that problem with other Nokia devices, and I've used plenty. And I was able to use Bluetooth to make the same connection, so all was not lost before it could be sent in for warranty repair.
Many of the other reviews don't touch on the product itself, and whether you will like it will depend on features. While this is not the best phone for somebody who needs a full keyboard or touch screen, it is a great phone for somebody looking for this feature set in this type of package. The GPS works well. The speakers sound quite good for built in ones. The feel and overall quality is very nice. The camera works well, and it can even make phone calls.
